Did you know?

It can take three years for long-finned eels to journey to their ancestral rivers from the spawning grounds near Vanuatu. The tiny larvae are carried to Australia’s continental shelf on the East Australia current. and become transparent “glass eels” which make their way into rivers and lakes, where they can grow to 2 m long and are ready to repeat the cycle.
